Overview
DummyFill Pro collects zero user data. There is no
analytics, no tracking, and no telemetry of any kind.
All configuration you set in the extension (field type settings, toggle
states, custom values) is stored locally using Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage.sync API. This API is managed entirely by
Google's infrastructure and syncs your settings across your Chrome
profiles via your Google account. DummyFill Pro never has access to this
data — it stays entirely within Chrome's own storage system.
Data Collection
DummyFill Pro does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data.
The extension operates entirely within your browser.
Specifically, DummyFill Pro does not:
- Send any data to external servers
- Track which websites you visit
- Record which forms you fill or what values are generated
- Use cookies, fingerprinting, or any other tracking mechanism
-
Collect device information, browser version, or usage statistics
Permissions Explained
DummyFill Pro requests three Chrome permissions. Here is exactly what
each one does and why it is needed:
-
activeTab
Allows the extension to interact with the current page when you
click the extension icon or use the keyboard shortcut. The extension
cannot access any tab you have not explicitly activated it on — it
only acts on the specific tab you trigger it from.
-
storage
Stores your configuration preferences (field type settings, toggle
states) using Chrome's sync storage. This data syncs across your
Chrome profiles via your Google account — DummyFill Pro never sees
or transmits this data. The storage permission grants access only to
DummyFill Pro's own isolated storage namespace, not to any other
extension's data.
-
scripting
Enables the extension to inject the form-filling script into the
current page when activated. Scripts run only on the active tab when
you trigger a fill — either by clicking the toolbar icon or pressing
the keyboard shortcut. The scripting permission is scoped to
activeTab so it cannot run on any page you have not
explicitly triggered.
Third-Party Services
DummyFill Pro uses no third-party services, APIs, or analytics
platforms. All functionality runs locally within your browser with no
external network requests from the extension itself.
